We’re looking for a skilled engineer with a passion for Frontend development and some full-stack chops to boot. Someone who loves solving challenges for our users and wants to be a major factor in the success of our games.
This role is for someone who is user focused and business outcome focused, and can communicate effectively with non-technical users and translate that to frontend code. As a Frontend engineer at Scopely you would be working on a small team that is building high-impact internal web applications and setting standards for the entire organization.
You will join the game platform team who provides technology, services, and libraries to help studios build games faster and better. Scopely’s slate of live and future titles are built on a common technology platform, which serves to accelerate development, enable the business to scale to millions of DAU, and provide powerful tools to manage and operate the live games.
What you will do:
- Translate workflows and wireframe designs into functional frontend web interfaces
- Build reusable code, components and libraries for future use
- Optimize performance of applications for scalability
- Define and encourage use of best practices for frontend development
- Participate in team building activities, sprint-based meetings and continuous brainstorming with cross-continent team
- Prioritize tasks effectively as they come in from different sources
- Provide consistent updates of progress to stakeholders
What you will need:
- Fluency and professional command of the English language
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals
- 3-5 years of experience in building frontend interfaces for large scale web applications
- Knowledge of client-side scripting using pure Javascript and Javascript frameworks including ReactJS
- Strong understanding or cross-browser compatibility concerns. Knowledge of working with mobile devices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
