We are looking for a Senior Information Technology Technician to manage, configure and support the company’s critical workforce applications and systems. This role is primarily responsible for supporting their assigned game studio or area of primary administration. This includes acting as technical lead or project manager for wired and wireless network, audio visual, SaaS and on-premise applications and infrastructure for replacements, upgrades, configuration and recovery activities. This role will oversee local vendor relationships, IT-related professional services and any on staff contractors at their respective Studio. This role will own small to medium sized projects that specifically support the studio functions and could involve collaborative planning, design, script building, cloud infrastructure deployment, plug-in and component installation or automation. This role must be able to self-start and work independently as business operations in game studios are fast-paced and require prompt attention that requires this role to be able to make business-aligned and thoughtful decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Act as the senior-level technologist for the assigned game studio. Remote studios will require a higher level of autonomy to support game operations.
  • Act as subject matter expert and lead administrator for your respective enterprise service. Includes the planning and oversight of activities related to streamlining, upgrading, updating and integrating of the service.
  • Analyze and assist in selecting new technology required for expanding computing needs throughout the organization.
  • Resolve, and communicate the status of complex tier 2 and 3 issues that require critical thinking, independent judgement and the ability to come up with creative solutions to upper management.
  • Employ systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications, design, develop, and test systems
  • Executive support in a high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Assist with Company acquisitions, creating roadmaps for making sure future acquisitions are accomplished smoothly.
  • Working with game teams to develop systems to streamline workflows for best efficiency.
  • Partner with senior management to plan, support and test company events, seminar and major meetings that leverage audio and visual technologies.
  • Device configuration and policy management using JAMF and GPO,
  • Understanding of industry standard security best practices with a specific focus on data integrity and malware protection for workstations
  • For remote studios, oversee third party vendors and contractors providing technical services

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Information Systems, Technology, or other applicable areas.
  • 6-8 years experience of senior-level technical administration, 3+ years leading technical initiatives
  • Systems Administration/Systems Engineer experience supporting multiple platforms (OSX, Windows, Linux)
  • Scripting experience using BASH, Python or similar language and open source tool deployment in support of a company of 200+
  • Understanding of wired and wireless networks, VLANs, DNS, IPSEC and VPN
  • Expert ability to manage and administer enterprise level SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, O365, Confluence, Jira, Slack, Zoom. Includes installation of plug-in, add-ons and complimentary software integration.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms as well as the ability to provide support to varying levels of users from both technical and non-technical backgrounds
  • Proven track record of maturing and streamlining IT systems and processes
  • Self-motivated, effective decision maker and able to work independently as a sole resource for a Studio
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Possess and maintains strong knowledge of Microsoft and Apple platforms including (but not limited to) operating systems, software, imaging, and management
  • Ability to translate business objectives into IT-based priorities in order to deliver services that are most important to the organization.
  • Experience in network architecture and development.
  • Knowledge of Jamf and software packaging required
  • AWS, JAMF CCA, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, or VCP certifications are a plus
