Product Analytics sits within Playgami, Scopely’s dedicated team of engineers, creators, and data professionals building the best game-making and insight delivery platform in the industry. As Manager, Product Analytics, you will lead and develop a high performing group of analysts and engineers and own the analytics roadmap for one of Scopely’s game titles.
Playgami is Scopely’s internal SaaS B2B platform for games. It offers the tools that help operate our multiplatform games, supports millions of users playing our games daily, and processes the huge amount of data they generate. You’ll join a great team of inner-motivated, ambitious individuals from diverse disciplines and backgrounds who strive to create the world’s best products for game production, operations, and insights while having fun at the same time.
Partnering with Playgami’s data infrastructure and data science teams, you and your team will be responsible for delivering everything data for that game title; from data modelling and event tracking, through to insightful analyses and recommendations that answer a game's most complex and challenging questions.
You should be a rare breed of business-savvy and analytics powerhouse capable of digging into terabytes of player, revenue, marketing and game data to understand user behavior and player experience.
Location:
Playgami project is based in Barcelona, but we are happy to hire candidates who will be working remotely from any other city in Spain, UK or Ireland.
What you will do:
- Lead the analytics function by analyzing large, complex data sets representing the behavior of millions of online and mobile game players to address strategic and operational business questions
- Manage a team of analysts and engineers. Provide mentorship, support and career guidance.
- Own the insights to drive the needle moving improvements by working with all organization from engineering to marketing
- Develop frameworks, models, tools, and processes to ensure data influences decisions at all levels
- Provide actionable recommendations and conclusions from game data to shape the roadmap of one of our portfolios games
- Present your findings to a cross functional team members in a presentation setting
What You Will Need:
- Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, hard-working and a good business intuition are musts!
- Five or more years experience at a top-tier institution or firm in an analysis, scientific, research or consulting role
- Strong presentation skills; ability to communicate complex results throughout an organization
- Passion and experience with small team leadership
- Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
- Working knowledge of SQL and comfort working in large data sets – exposure with BigQuery and/or Looker a plus
- Python/R experience a plus
