We are looking for a passionate LiveOps Support Engineer who will be participating in extending and maintaining awesome technology for games. This is your chance to work on one of the most exciting and successful intellectual properties in the industry alongside an Award Winning LiveOps team.

The Platform is essential for empowering monumental next-gen MMORTS and Empire-Building games played by millions of mobile gamers. Your responsibilities would include working on mobile MMOs, supporting live game operations and improving associated tools and libraries for Star Trek™ Fleet Command with a focus on performance, usability and consistency.

What you will do:

  • Live game support & troubleshooting.
  • Work directly with the Live Operations team and our development teams to assist them in bug fixes, improvements, data migration scripts and deliver content updates.
  • Work with front-end developers to optimize tools to empower our Live Operators and Game Design teams in the creation of new and exciting game-play experiences.
  • Work with various stakeholders on defining product requirements on the tools and services that drive Live Operations and Game Design.
  • Participate in playtesting the game and associated LiveOps tools.
  • Develop expert user knowledge of Platform Tools and Services to be able to provide key feedback and improvements to our developer teams.

What you will need:

  • Great communication skills - written and spoken, including remote-work settings
  • 3+ years experience in a Support Engineering / Technical QA role.
  • Skills in Python (backend) and JavaScript (web frontend)
  • Broad knowledge of different architectures and how they fit or not for specific goals
  • Pragmatic and sustainable approach to programming
  • Good SQL knowledge and experience with MySQL (or similar database systems, like PostgreSQL)
  • Good understanding of how to prevent cheating etc.
  • Experience with git
  • Experience with technical writing
  • You Love Games!

Desirable Experience and Skills:

  • Experience working with Teams in different time zones / countries.
  • Experience in RESTful back-end systems
  • Experience in writing automated, high-quality tests (unit, integration etc.)
  • Familiarity with production deployments, ideally CI/CD pipelines
