Scopely Playa Vista, a world-class mobile game development studio, is in search of a Lead UI Artist to join the Avatar: Pandora Rising development team. We need a strong creative leader with an exceptional understanding of interface design and mobile user experience. Your passion for games and thoughtful, intuitive interface design helps to bring engaging experiences to our players, and contribute to one of the most visually ambitious mobile experiences ever.

What you will do:

Drive the games style guide and component library by creating benchmark UI designs conceived by your exceptional creativity.
Work with UX designers and producers to visualize various interface systems in our game and push UI improvement through the roadmap process.
Work with Tech Leads to establish consistent pipelines for implementation.
Own the UI feedback and approval process.
Create efficient and polished visual assets as needed.
Providing pre-viz for UI animation and effects.
Be a strong advocate for UI design and your team’s efforts.

What you will need:

4+ years mobile game/app experience required
Extensive portfolio displaying diverse artistic skills with an exceptional understanding of graphic design and typography.
Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, After Effects and any other relevant 2D software.
Experience in motion graphics and their relation to UI.
Experience with Unity and NGUI for UI implementation.

Desirable Experience and Skills:

Experience with mobile development, live F2P games in particular.
Experience managing a small team of UI artists.
Thorough understanding of limitations of information display and interactivity on today's mobile devices.
Experience with other aspects of video game art creation and development.
Credit on multiple shipped titles.
