Our world-class game development team is in search of a senior Product person to drive the strategy and execution of Live Operations for our top 3 RPG game, Marvel Strike Force.

As a senior member of the team, you will be driving the direction and vision of our Live Operations (e.g., creating creative and sustainable ways to maximize the lifetime value of our players by working with the team to provide unique, engaging experiences, analyzing data, managing the in-game economy, and collaborating on processes and tools to streamline the execution of in-game events, content, and sales). We need a sharp, disciplined individual who has a passion for games, an interest in further developing leadership skills, and a track record of managing live game economies and/or user experiences.

Team:

You will be part of a team of Live Ops associates, product managers, designers, producers, engineers, and artists who deliver new exciting content and features to a passionate fan base. Our games are built in a collaborative environment where ideas and suggestions are welcomed by everyone, and autonomy and ownership are a key part of the team culture for driving buy-in on your vision.

Career Progression:

This role is a senior level position. The candidate who excels in this position will receive more and more leadership responsibilities, allowing them to drive the studio’s current and future products to the top of the mobile gaming market.

What you will do:

  • Help manage and mentor a team of product and live operations personnel
  • Become an expert on the product by playing frequently and competitively, so you can gain a deep understanding of our players' motivations and desires
  • Guide and contribute to the team's vision on concepting, designing, and creating fresh experiences, events, and promotional plans to drive big product impact
  • Analyze and monitor key metrics and user feedback on a real-time basis to determine user trends and behavior
  • Detect and surface game economy opportunities or concerns, and drive plans around them with the team
  • Drive the implementation of new innovations to improve virality, engagement and monetization
  • Incorporate best practices derived from analysis into new and existing game features and communicate key takeaways to the team
  • Identify new opportunities for improvements in the game
  • Work with dedicated live ops engineers to design, implement, and roll out tools and techniques for automating and improving manual processes

What you will need:

  • Previous work experience with free-to-play games (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong logical thought process, and an investigative, analytical mindset
  • Understanding of game design concepts and principles
  • Experience hitting revenue/metric targets on a live game
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, adaptable self-starter, able to identify obstacles and work through solutions
  • Passion for figuring out how game economies work and change
  • Strong leadership skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interest in interactive media – video games, social networking, etc.
  • Experience with drafting specifications for back-end tool improvements ideal
