Scopely is seeking an experienced Lead People (HR) Business Partner to join the Global People Team! You will be the Lead People Team Business Partner for Scopely's European Corporate and Publishing Teams. Your primary clients will be the Chief Technology Officer, SVP Platform, Chief Business Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, in addition to their functional leaders who lead the teams that enable Game development across our worldwide portfolio.

You will report to Scopely’s Sr Director of Global People Business Partners, participate as a key member of the global People Business Partner team, and the Global People Team. Your role will partner deeply with the Business Partners around the world and the Games organization where teams and strategies intersect. The leaders across the Publishing/Corporate groups have teams also based in LA, Dublin, London and Asia.

What you will do:

Team Talent Strategy: In partnership with the leaders you support, ensure we have a clear and effective talent strategy for each team. This means you have put in place the tools and practices to surface and solve opportunities related to leadership, management, performance and team composition (organizational design, optimal mix of skill-set and mindset, cost structure), and you are a key partner assisting the leaders in identifying and solving talent acquisition, retention and engagement on the team.

Publishing/Corporate Leadership Team Evolution: Play a leadership role in codifying how our Leaders can solve business and talent challenges through operating more as a Leadership Team while also remaining a distributed group of focused, accountable leaders. Ensure we have both strong team-based operating cultures and have the right Scopely-wide practices around leadership communication and talent decision making. Ensure effective integration of new leaders and talent promoted into leadership roles.

Scopely Talent Management:

Shape and lead aspects of Scopely’s global approach to Talent Management through a deep understanding of the Games organization’s talent, challenges, needs, culture and operations. Design and implement practical solutions for your teams consistent with our global talent philosophy and programs. Inform strategy and/or lead aspects of core Talent Management processes, programs, and events.

Coaching & Conflict Resolution:

Establish credibility and reliability as an efficient driver of issue resolution -- through facilitation, coaching others on how to solve their challenges, and through a partnership with other BPs across Scopely. Solve Employee Relations issues in your client groups by working with managers, employees and People Operations to respond to all issues in ways consistent with Scopely’s values and standards.

Change Management:

Coach team leaders on effective change management. Help others explain connections between changes in the business, the organization, and individual roles. Support teams on change strategies, communications and post-implementation assessment.

What you will need:

  • A minimum of eight years of human resource management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
