Rovio’s Puzzle Studio has their sights set on becoming the most successful casual puzzle game studio in the world. Exploring new and emerging trends in puzzle games, the studio has built a deep understanding of the puzzle genre and its players since its founding in 2014. The studio has introduced innovations in puzzle game core with the free-flowing Angry Birds Dream Blast, and the narrative-driven Small Town Murders, as well as providing players with exciting new content and events in fan-favorite games such as Angry Birds Friends. With their games, Puzzle Studio aims to create a true emotional connection that stays with players even when they’re not playing.

We are looking for a freelance Graphic Designer for a fully remote role in our Puzzle Studio Marketing Art Team to work on a range of tasks from app store visuals to logos and more. Well-rounded graphic designers with a special emphasis on and passion for casual mobile games would fit right in. If you’re seasoned, attentive, and able to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating marketing art assets, such as App Store screenshots, icons, user acquisition static ads, cross-promotion banners, and social media assets
  • Creating special featuring and other promotional assets when needed
  • Creating illustrations, and game logos
  • Maintaining high standards of the marketing art

Who we think will do great in this role has:

  • 3+ years of working design experience (ideally in Games Industry)
  • Proficient command of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent skills in digital graphic design and typography
  • Advanced design sense and mastery of illustration, typography, colour, layout, and conceptual graphic design
  • A portfolio demonstrating your passion for design and technical proficiency
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, and to communicate well with others, particularly in a remote working environment
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • Attention to detail and problem solving mindset
  • Fluency in English

  • Experience in 3D art

Recruitment process:

  • Virtual introduction: you will have a call with the hiring manager who will introduce the Studio and the role in more detail, expand more on the day-to-day duties, the nitty-gritty of the job. We would also like to learn more about you, your skills and what motivates you. We’ll be happy to answer all your questions.
  • If both parties are excited to work together, a one-month contract will be made with a possibility of extension upon successful collaboration.
