The Senior Visual Post Artist for Direct Animation is an integral role to successfully maintaining high fidelity content across multiple mediums and artistic styles. This position allows the Direct Animation team to experiment and innovate upon the current production pipeline process, providing a landscape of collaboration throughout the multi-disciplined department.


  • Primarily focusing on visual effects, composite, and lighting needs as determined through collaboration with creative and production staff and ensuring those elements are represented with parity after render
  • Maintaining visual consistency across all episodes of production and across all Direct Series projects (with a primary focus on 3D pipelines), along with the creative staff attached to each individual production
  • Supplementing all visual post teams across Direct Animation, including working in coordination with 2D, Machinima, and Broadcast teams as proves necessary during the course of production
  • Using established software suites (Unreal, Maya, and After Effects) to achieve fidelity required for each individual production and pipeline
  • Following all standardized procedures outlined for the visual post team as expressed by production and creative staff, including meeting all tasked deadlines, maintaining a concise assessment of task status in Shotgun, securing files within Animation Engineering protocols, generating assets following naming convention standards, and communicating with producers consistently on at least a once per day basis
  • Generating final production assets that meet the standards expected by the creative and production staff attached to each production
  • Communicating with production and other creative staff to ensure deadlines and tasking are in line with production needs and timelines
  • Innovate on current pipeline procedures as new techniques and software become available as well as to enhance currently existing workflows in conjunction with the Animation Engineering team and show/department production staff


  • 5+ years of experience in either animation or game development
  • Experienced user in Maya and 3ds Max to Unreal Engine imports (character/camera animation), Blueprints and Materials setup, and VFX creation
  • Some experience with Adobe Suite, specifically After Effects
  • Familiar with animation pipelines, render processes, and composition
  • Willingness to accept direction, works well under pressure on multiple tasks, and flexible to changes on the fly in a fast paced environment
  • Must be efficient, reliable, self-motivated and passionate about your work, requiring minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
