Rocksteady Studios is an award-winning, critically acclaimed video game developer. Founded in 2004, we are home to the widely celebrated Batman: Arkham series of games. We are looking to bring a QA Tester on a 12 month fixed-term basis to our QA team.
Reporting to the QA Lead, the QA Tester will be part of our QA team responsible for testing all aspects of our studio’s ‘AAA’ game. This role has hybrid-working patterns available, and flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow Rocksteady QA process, professional standards & set the highest standards in testing to support the requirements of the project.
- Ensure that all issues & bugs are reported in an efficient & informative manner, keeping with the extremely high standard expected by Rocksteady.
- Become the QA Expert for your assigned projects & given areas of specialisation.
- Own, manage, create & regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes document testing practises, QA process & reporting methods.
- Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively tests & supports all features of the project.
- To communicate to all levels of staff within the Rocksteady team verbally & via effective high quality reports.
- Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently & all instructions are followed accurately.
Technical Requirements
- Experience of testing on a range of platforms: Console & PC.
- Excellent MS Office Skills.
- TRC/TCR knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge of bug reporting workflow & bug databases.
- Previous experience with using Bug Databases.
- Understanding of games and game terminology.
- Understanding the roles of other areas of the industry.
- Awareness of the development cycle and key milestones.
Skill Requirements
- Held a tester position on at least one AAA released title.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and individually.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experienced games player with the ability to familiarise with game-play elements rapidly.
- High standards of work and willingness to meet and exceed expectations.
- Adaptability and willingness to improve processes and own development.
- Clear and concise communicator both written and verbally.
- Ability to work unsupervised maintaining focus and commitment.
- Work closely with the development team in identifying, reporting and recreating bugs.
- Ability to adapt to the team’s needs.
- Flexible. Will be expected to work outside normal hours, including weekends & / or bank holidays, if necessary.
- Passion and enthusiasm for the role and the company.
Desirable qualities
- Management and execution of various automated tests via developer \ in house \ self-created tools.
- Experience using version control software.
- Familiarity of issue \ task tracking and project management tools.
- A self-starter who has taken part in games development projects / development jams and is experienced using industry software and development engines.
- Supply references to any accolades or portfolios.
- University degree or equivalent qualifications in a technical or video games-related field.
