Rockstar San Diego is on the lookout for talented Production Support team members who possess a passion for game development and production. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Carlsbad, California.


  • We collaboratively define, design, and implement the structural player flow, game content, player progression, and systems required for each project.

  • It is our responsibility to work collaboratively with every department to maintain the core player facing content and systems design of each project, designing, and implementing to the highest standard.

  • We collaborate continuously with all other departments to maintain communications around each projects content and systems requirements.

  • Work proactively to help find collaborative processes to ensure each projects structure and core design requirements are understood across the entire team.


  • Support the Design team across the following key areas -

  • Team Co-ordination & Focus Support:

    • Schedule, book and communicate meetings for the team.

    • Note-take during meetings, and help summarize next steps, surfacing the notes and actionable steps to meeting attendees as a follow up.

    • Manage communication channels, keeping the Design team connected to all other teams, departments, and disciplines.

    • Work with Design Production to keep the Design team linked to project schedules and priorities.

  • Bug & Workflow Support:

    • Assign and deadline bugs for the Design team.

    • Sanity pass bugs ensuring all relevant details are present and correct. managing the flow of bugs in various states through the Design teams.

    • Provide bug status reports to help maximize efficiency, unblocking bugs and workflows.

    • Provide project progress reporting for the Design team, using bug data and project scheduling.

  • Documentation Support:

    • Collate and create Design documentation across multiple software packages as well as Confluence.

    • Collate documentation for weekly reporting.

    • Capture images and videos of gameplay and reference resources. Editing them where necessary.

  • Content & Systems Testing Support:

    • Assist with coordinating team review plays of applicable content and systems.

    • Provide post-play reporting on issues encountered, topics for follow up and actionable next steps to be reviewed in future plays.

    • Assist with internal testing of Design content and features.

    • Liaise with QA teams on Design feature test status and reporting.


  • Minimum of one-year experience in Quality Assurance or related position.


  • Exceptional, confident communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with MS Office.

  • Ability to take complex instruction well but confident with being proactive and using initiative.

  • Candidates must be highly motivated, organized, personable and able to work exceptionally well as part of a team.

  • Experience with bug tracking software.

  • Knowledge / experience with Perforce or other version control software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Software Development, Production, or a related field.

  • Passion for video games.
