Rockstar Games is seeking a Platform Operations Manager to join our online services team. This person will oversee day-to-day operations as well as maintain a longer-term focus on helping grow the platform to the next level. Service clients include various Rockstar teams, service partners, and development partners. Our internal platform helps facilitate a broad array of organizational activities including game management, customer service/technical support, development, security operations, marketing, community engagement, commerce, quality assurance, compliance, etc.

What We Do

  • We create connected experiences that are found across our game franchises.
  • We create online services for our games including matchmaking, cloud saves, player stats, leaderboards, and more.
  • We improve existing features as well as architect new solutions to support the development of the Social Club community and website.
  • We create innovative in-game experiences including user-generated content.
  • We build services and tools that support our consumer-facing experiences and our internal business needs.
  • We create companion apps to our games including second screen experiences on mobile, tablet, and the web.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and facilitate the ongoing live operations needs of our platform, with a primary focus on our internal clients.
  • Oversee and facilitate processes for recurring platform operations.
  • Triage, communicate and resolve issues affecting live content.
  • Lead post-mortems for recently released platform features and resolved issues.
  • Maintain calendars for stakeholder milestones and releases.
  • Maintain and manage maintenance backlog.
  • Work with developers to design and maintain automated unit testing across all web code properties.
  • Work with build engineers and tools developers to increase efficiency of deployment and application management.
  • Help drive creation and improvement of QoS monitoring systems and associated reporting across managed properties.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing online services or SaaS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Rockstar products.
  • Familiarity with modern online games.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with workflow and process design.

  • Experience with web development (especially MVC.Net).
