As a technical program manager for global developer infrastructure, you will drive engineering efforts such as developing a set of tooling that can help global engineers to test client application’s behaviors in the context of international users. You will also support engineering teams to define the landscape of mobile development operation and build mobile infrastructure as Roblox goes through rapid global expansion.
You are:
- A technical leader with a strong engineering background and 5+ years experience in building large scale backend solutions.
- A domain expert in developing testing framework as products go through global expansion
- Experienced with building developer tooling and infrastructure especially in the context of mobile development
- Able to navigate cross timezone and cross company collaboration scenario.
- Able to analyze a large scope engineering project and break it down to a feasible execution plan, identifying the owners, stakeholders, and blockers of each action item.
- Experienced with establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and demonstrated critical thinking
- Experienced with identifying critical technical problems and opportunities
- Data driven strategic thinker who is capable of conveying ideas through detailed specs
- Experienced with delivering end to end technical programs through effective roadmapping and reliable execution
- Able to turn specific solutions into systems that benefit larger community in the long run
- Able to work effectively in a fast pace environment with competing resources and priorities
- Knowledgeable about engineering needs, scoping, planning, execution and delivery
- An outstanding communicator both technical and program
- A self starter with high degree of self direction and independent drive
- Flexible around process, using process as a tool when it makes sense for a team
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin
You will:
- Define and develop the process so that Roblox engineers can test client app’s behaviors in the context of a Chinese users
- Help key stakeholders and engineering teams to develop long term mobile development strategy globally
- Observe and identify the inefficiency and frictions of the existing engineering practice, then propose and promote best practices
