As a Senior Software Engineer on the Studio team, you will be an important contributor to the evolution of Roblox Studio which is the primary IDE for making massively multiplayer online games on the Roblox platform. Studio provides tools for 3D modeling, animation, complete SDLC and testing for teams and individual game developers.

You are:

  • Experienced, 8+ years in developing and deploying top of the line user facing applications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical field

  • Reporting directly to the engineering manager

  • Develop the architecture and technical direction of multi-quarter features that will be the future of our application

  • Hands-on with secure C++, or Lua code experience

  • Experience with QT/QML, React, Cocoa, WPF or other UI frameworks

  • Proficient in industry standards, best practices and design patterns

  • Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and monitored code

  • Passionate about solving complex problems that is not solved easily

  • Collaborative and team player

You will:

  • Implement Builder Tools that are used for creating interactive 3D scenes and visual effects in Roblox experiences

  • Oversee and provide complex technical projects from the planning stage through execution

  • Work cross functionally, across teams and technology platforms

  • Mentor team members helping them improve their professional skills and expertise

  • Develop technological practices, patterns, and strategies

  • Participate in building the world's best professional application for massively multiplayer game development
