Roblox is looking for an Economist to join our Product team reporting directly into Product leadership.

This role can be remote-based within the United States with minimal travel to Corporate headquarters.

You Are:

• A formally educated Economist with experience in virtual, user driven economies

• Somebody that brings in real hands-on experience on how to balance supply and demand through inflation/deflation of currency, goods and services, understand the characteristics of both, understand relationship between price and demand, quality and price, quality and demand. And understand how virtual economy translates into spend, etc.

• You will have a proven track-record of delivering measurable benefit to the business through econometric models and strategic analysis

• Someone who keeps a keen eye on market trends, what’s happening and can advise how to fix potential economic issues within the business

You Will:

• Be comfortable analyzing complex economic dynamics and making the right modeling tradeoffs by applying strong economic reasoning

• Be able to break down complex information and insights into clear and concise language

• Be comfortable presenting your findings to audiences with a broad range of backgrounds

You Have:

• A minimum of 7 years of focused experience

• Master’s degree or PhD in Macroeconomics, Economics or closely related field

• Experience with user driven economies

• Hands on experience making decisions shaping virtual economies
