We are looking for a Senior Lighting Artist like you to be responsible for creating lighting schemes that enhance the art direction and overall vision of the game. This role will report to our Studio Art Line Director, based in our studio in Los Angeles, California. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options, and welcome full-time remote candidates who are within a three-hour time difference to the Pacific Time Zone to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft lighting schemes for indoor and outdoor environments
  • Light both game environments as well as cinematics
  • Capture and create skyboxes
  • Color grading and post processing work
  • Assist with look development
  • Create mood boards to communicate proposed lighting schemes
  • Propose lighting related improvements to the work of other artists
  • Ability to collaborate with artists such as concept, world builders and VFX

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years game production experience
  • Excellent understanding of color theory, composition, and lighting principles
  • Experience lighting and working within PBR pipeline
  • Comprehensive understanding of photography
  • Ability to work within memory and performance constraints while maintaining high visual quality
  • Passion for pushing visual fidelity
