As the Technical Program Manager for the Systems Engineering team on Wild Rift, you oversee the deployment, maintenance, and improvement of the infrastructure and services running the game. You will work with the engineers on your team to set roadmaps and prioritize emergent tasks. You will assess requests from and help bridge gaps between other teams, both technical and nontechnical, both inside and outside of Riot.

You will oversee operational deliverables of the game. You will have project management skills and passion to ensure those deliverables. You will report to the Head of Production Operations for Wild Rift, making sure you and your teammates have the resources, time, and support necessary to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Implement agile work systems to ensure successful and sustainable delivery
  • Manage development schedules and emergent tasks, while mitigating risks and managing tradeoffs
  • Promote transparency and predictability with roadmaps and planning
  • Create and maintain processes and working models for high sustainability and productivity between internal stakeholders as well as partners and 3rd party vendors
  • Drive alignment on technical decisions, identify and resolve roadblocks to help engineers make and meet commitments
  • Set team goals to improve the scalability and repeatability of operational delivery pipeline for the game's infrastructure
  • Monitor team health and cultivate good morale and culture consistent with Riot values, ensure teams are staffed for high quality results
  • Build relationships across the Production discipline, including personally and for the team

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing technical projects and leading engineering teams, through the full software lifecycle or for live 24/7 services
  • Broad technical understanding of common operational and development challenges
  • Experience working with distributed teams and facilitating virtual meetings
  • Experience with partner or vendor relationship management
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile work systems (Kanban, Scrum, …)
  • Business fluency in Mandarin and English, and can promote collaboration across language and culture
  • Bachelors in CS, Math or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting game operations
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerized services, and microservice architectures
  • Experience with continuous integration & deployment flow.
