As a Software Engineer on the Merchant Guild team, you'll report to the team's Engineering Manager. You will develop core player-facing client experiences and integrate them with distributed services, providing engaging store, loot, events, and missions experiences for League of Legends. You will work across technology stacks to achieve reliable and performant player experiences. You will exercise your collaboration skills to work in a diverse group, being a trusted technology partner to producers.

Responsibilities:

Develop/test/deploy/maintain existing and new client features.
Participate in the team's on-call rotation.
Improve the team's telemetry, tooling, and work systems.
Participate in hiring and interviewing processes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience working with Product Owners / Development Managers / Designers to effectively prioritize work.
Experience building user-facing client experiences and using REST-based interfaces in a client-server architecture.
2+ years of client development experience in a JavaScript/HTML/CSS-based paradigm.
Experience contributing code with care for shared best practices and with minimal oversight.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience integrating a web-based client with service interfaces authored in languages such as Java or C++.
Experience working with game development.
Experience collaborating directly with partner disciplines (e.g. UX, Design, QA).
