The corporate communications team shapes Riot’s global identity and reputation with players, future Rioters, partners, governments, and more. Our team functions include public relations, government affairs, executive visibility, recruiting social media, riotgames.com editorial content, and more. We partner with teams across the company to showcase how Riot makes it better to be a player. We love games and telling the stories that emerge during development, but we also help explain Riot to people who don’t love games quite as much as we do.

As a Social Media Strategist, reporting in to the Manager, Brand Management, on the Corporate Communications team, you’ll work with teams around the company to authentically highlight the people, products, and processes that make Riot unique. You’ll draft copy, post… posts, and track metrics across LinkedIn and Twitter. You’ll also learn the ins and outs of Riot’s product teams and partner with them on longer term projects to attract potential candidates and build Riot’s brand as an employer.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strategic insight to develop long-term execution plans in collaboration with Brand Leads, translating goals into social media targets
  • Brainstorm, source, and produce new social campaigns in collaboration with the Riot Brand team and diverse teams across Riot
  • Develop copy for all social content on relevant channels
  • Schedule and publish content on multiple platforms
  • Track metrics and inform social strategy based on trends, risks, and A/B testing
  • Participate in community conversations as a spokesperson for Riot
  • Solidify and enforce Riot’s social engagement guidelines internally
  • Advise on social strategy for essential executives and Rioters with a social presence

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional work experience running social campaigns
  • Experience ideating social strategy and aligning content to publishing goals
  • Experience with one or more CMS (we use Sprinklr)
  • Experience posting and tracking metrics on Twitter and LinkedIn, preferably with paid experience
  • Experience adapting voice and tone in multiple settings; able to speak authentically from the Riot perspective
