As a Senior Manager of Production on the Extended Development (XDev) Workforce team, you'll lead a team and manage the systems needed to ensure game and platform teams seamlessly partner with extended workforces to unlock opportunities for players.
The team you build will empower our developers to create player value unburdened by administrative load. As the team lead, you will work with Riot-wide leadership, game teams, central functions, disciplines and external partners to establish a shared operating model and overcome blockers for your team and customers. You will partner with your peers to inform the development of scalable cross-organizational solutions. Your unification of process and direct service to game teams will allow Riot to accelerate and expand our use of resourcing options to provide player value. You will report directly to the Head of XDev Workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Work daily with direct reports through management and mentoring to encourage their growth and fulfillment of their role
- Develop an inclusive and collaborative team culture both within and between teams
- Use success criteria and metrics as guides adapt efforts and ensure the trust and satisfaction of Rioter and development partners
- Build a system to process requests from multiple teams and navigate the organization to fulfill needs and track results
- Manage some supplier relationships, communication, contracts, and schedules as a Riot representative
- Collaborate to maintain a database tracking supplier projects, scorecards, and contact information
- Work with all related departments and centralized function teams to achieve commitments and develop efficient processes and development team support
- Contribute to the creation of a distributed and scalable selection, approval, and performance management process for extended resourcing that incorporates all financial, technical and legal requirements and teams
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the game and platform team forecasts of workforce needs
- Promote best practices for continuous improvement in using extended workforce options across Riot
- Work with leadership for identifying and tracking mitigation responses triggered by under performing vendors.
- Build meaningful and trusting relationships across desks, screens, and time zones through clear two-way communication, planning, and delivery
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience leading product or service teams in a large distributed organization
- 2+ years experience managing individuals and teams to achieve organizational goals
- Experience working with external teams, aligning strategy and managing relationships across diverse organizations
Desired Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related technical field
- Experience in a consumer focused technology or entertainment company
- Experience with a game development craft such as production, art, or engineering.
- Experience facilitating meetings with senior leadership
- Experience with project management software such as Airtable, Trello, and Jira
