Business Strategists at Riot develop, advise, and communicate strategy across multiple dimensions. You will help senior leaders make important decisions. You will perform analyses, make insightful recommendations, design solutions, and implement strategies that address complex business issues to achieve our goals. You will work with Rioters from other disciplines to conduct studies and analyses that inform our products and experiences. Your analytical background coupled with your understanding of data will ensure that you’re an advocate for players and can provide strategic guidance about their wants, needs, and behaviors.

As a Senior Business Strategist in Consumer Products, you will report to the Director of Strategic Advisory. Using your strategic skills you'll help grow and transform the global Consumer Products business for Riot Games. You'll work with senior leaders on the Consumer Products team to provide strategic support across many departments including product development, licensing, eCommerce, marketing, and logistics. You'll work with the managers of each function to steer the Consumer Products business toward greater surface area, player impact and profitability. You'll help coordinate our Consumer Products strategy across international regions and work with regional leadership abroad. You’ll work with Finance to develop strategic forecasts, and to track the financial impact of strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior Consumer Product leaders to provide strategic support across a variety of markets including product development, eCommerce, and marketing
  • Extract and analyze data to develop assumptions and hypotheses to directly influence decisions
  • Guide how to serve players more effectively by evolving our product, distribution, or partnership approach globally
  • Help create go-to-market strategies for new consumer products and experiences
  • Coordinate with regional leadership to build economic models around demand and pricing in main markets
  • Work with our multiple channel teams to analyze performance and identify improvements to result in a more compelling product experiences for players
  • Design and direct consumer research to inform product decisions and go-to-market strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Consulting or Strategy/Insights departments at Consumer Products companies, or equivalent, or 2+ years with an MBA or similar advanced degree
  • Experience analyzing data and presenting findings to senior leaders and partners
  • Experience working with metrics to analyze the economics of the business and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Fluency working with complex data sets from multiple source systems.
  • Experience in Consumer Products industries

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with entertainment licensing and licensing models
  • Experience with direct to consumer merchandising
