The Production discipline at Riot helps teams understand the vision of the product, and how we’re going to get there. We help bring experiences beyond our audience's expectations. We’re involved in almost every product you can think of, be it an epic new skin, the Mechs vs. Minions board game, or the internal tools needed by engineers or artists to speed up their craft. Whatever the calling, we identify and bring the solution that our audience needs.
Product Managers on the China Development and Incubation Center help lead the vision of each product across the finish line, and help provide experiences beyond our audience's expectations. They guide the product lifecycle from start to finish, and understand the intricate nuances of what the audience needs from the products we develop. We help to shape the path for how future Riot games will ship in China and develop the working models of how we work with Tencent.
On the China Development and Incubation team, you will have the opportunity to support our existing line-up of games, as well as other games within the R&D pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Support the current Riot and Tencent teams on launching and running the games in China
- Work and align across multiple teams to lead the design of social, commerce and other features
- Identify and plan out China launch e-commerce product offerings and categorization utilizing available in-game contents
- Manage day to day communications and collaboration efforts with Tencent and the game teams
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program
- Minimum 2 years (4 years preferred) of work experience in video games/entertainment or related industries
- Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 week at our Santa Monica Headquarters (subject to change based on COVID-19 restrictions)
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in Chinese
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with game development lifecycle and how game teams operate
- Experience with cross-cultural teams, as well as remote team management
- Experience conducting consumer analysis and leveraging the learnings through new product designs
- Familiarity with Chinese e-commerce and engagement systems in both PC and mobile games
- Experience conducting consumer analysis and leveraging the learnings through new product designs
