As a Music Supervisor at Riot you help teams build their creative vision. Across different teams you will guide teams to help them find their "sound", occasionally stepping in and driving creative production for original artist collaboration. Oftentimes you will play a support role helping navigate the licensing process. You will work with external composers, artists, and music related talent and our legal, finance and publishing creatives to achieve product teams goals.

As part of the Music Services team in the Central Creative Services group you will report to the Audio Services Lead. You will work with many of our games and publishing teams across League of Legends, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, and Esports. You will be a central expert at Riot for music management and licensing. Additionally you will be an advocate for Creative Service teams and help products level up their skills when looking for music guidance and licensing support.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teams and artists with creative production guidance on original artist collaborations
  • Negotiate with talent representation, including legal, label, talent management, agency, and business management
  • Manage and secure legal rights of our recordings, licenses of pre-existing music, credits, and cue sheets
  • Create realistic budgets concerning all music related costs
  • Determine the viability of any music related ancillary product
  • Build processes around tracking and managing requests, status, budget and additional details across assigned projects
  • Track overall sync quote and license progress and the conclusion of license deals with Product, Finance and Legal Teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in the television, film, entertainment or video game field in a music licensing capacity, with experience in negotiations and agreements
  • Experience working in multiple genres of music
  • Have an accurate knowledge of all costs associated with delivery of music elements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable about the gaming industry including newest trends and events
  • Experience working with international teams and global music talent.
