Reporting to the Head of Global Channel Publishing, the Director of Global Cross-Channel Strategy will be responsible for defining global strategic best practice and developing and communicating strategy that raises the bar across channel performance, directly affecting business results. As the strategic leader for the Global Channels Publishing team, you will use your expertise in integrated marketing to fuel the creation of industry-leading Player channel experiences across Riot Games. You will create frameworks and processes that ensure global strategic agreement on Product Marketing teams and our Regional publishing network, ensuring that our publishing efforts manifest in the desired player experience. You will help guide a complex set of senior stakeholders across Game and IP Studios, LoL inc, and WWP to guide decisions and align resources to maximize the business impact of Channels Publishing.

The Director of Global Channel Strategy is an essential leader for horizontal projects, especially those that focus on cross-product programs, shared platforms or publishing transformation. The Director of Global Channel Strategy identifies system-wide publishing challenges, finds opportunities for innovation, and develops and enforces strategic processes and best practices across initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic best practice across channels globally, finding opportunities for productive innovation
  • Deeply understand our goals, challenges and player motivation in order to create winning publishing strategies and channel experiences
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Regional Publishing to create business-driving, cross-channel plans and strategies for products at all stages of lifecycle
  • Develop strategy for cross-product/horizontal initiatives and platforms and articulate the business value
  • Identify opportunities for innovation in publishing that improves player experience and business outcomes
  • Define and govern cross-product channel hierarchy, driving toward the optimal outcomes for Riot Games
  • Ensure accountability by driving the requirements of channel measurement, analytics, data gathering, and reporting
  • Supervise the insights and data science team
  • Contribute to the team culture of expertise, learning and development

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years experience as a strategic leader of integrated marketing
  • Experience driving business results through strategy
  • Experience leading global teams with diverse skills sets

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master's degree in marketing or related field or an MBA a plus
  • Game Industry Knowledge desired
  • Gamer a plus
