The Team

The Publishing Services team in Europe manages many direct-to-player publishing functions such as social media, communications and PR, influencers relationships, events, content and channel management.

The team is dedicated to providing platforms for authentic local interactions and channel experiences for our players, both online and offline. The team will also ensure that our content reaches our players through the right medium.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Publishing Services, the Communications Manager will be based in Greater London. You will work across all Riot products, collaborating with the European Brand team, the Global Channel Publishing (GCP) team, the local publishing teams, and partners to ensure we promote content and campaigns across different platforms efficiently. You will make sure we are all pushing in the same direction and working from the same playbook when we talk to players whether it’s through influencer partnerships, social media, or other emerging even experimental channels. You will also ensure that we are able to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our campaigns.

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement the necessary procedures for improving asset collection and delivery efficiency. Drive asset management planning for all games, working closely with the content strategy manager and key stakeholders in LAX to ensure that all content produced is delivered on time to local countries;
  • Be a thought partner to our local publishing teams when they are prioritizing their channels and executing tactics;
  • Develop RFPs to identify and secure agency support where necessary; work with our internal Creative Content and Event Managers as well as external agencies to develop appropriate content;
  • Define PR and social measurement KPIs (penetration, impressions, sentiment, etc.) and lead reporting processes across Europe, ensuring all outputs are monitored and communicated effectively. Manage pan European reports for all products and major events;
  • Partner with the global influencer team and influencer managers in local countries to organize a seamless global, cross-product influencer program for Riot Games;
  • Work closely with the Growth Manager to make data informed recommendations and lead innovative initiatives that could be beneficial to all European countries, from European social media moderation to CRM campaigns;

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in digital media, at an agency or in-house;
  • Global or regional experience working at an international HQ or across different countries/markets. Also required is market sensitivity, cultural curiosity and understanding, differences in localization;.
  • Experience growing content pipelines (in-house and external/agency)
  • Experience implementing successful communications campaigns with passionate audiences;
  • Experience working across multiple teams in different disciplines, with excellent relationship management and communication skills;
  • Ability to negotiate and execute deals with ad agencies and media groups;
  • Fluent in written and verbal English, and fluency in at least one other Europe relevant language would be a plus.
