As a Business Strategist II, you'll report to an Associate Director, Strategy Advisory within Worldwide Publishing (WWP). Your team works with the President of WWP and senior publishing leadership to advise and communicate strategy across multiple dimensions, including where to play (e.g. evaluating markets), how to succeed (e.g. global go-to-market strategies), and operating models.
You will be a strategist for Riot's global publishing leaders, solving key issues facing the organization and facilitating understanding and collaboration within your projects.
You will develop and contribute insights to better inform business decisions, as well as create narratives, develop presentations and organize discussions for leadership across both the Worldwide Publishing organization and wider Riot.
Responsibilities:
- Develop frameworks that guide senior publishing leadership thinking through complex or ambiguous problem spaces
- Evaluate drivers of essential publishing issues, applying our data, interviews and benchmarks to achieve results
- Produce insights connecting outputs of analysis and reports to important goals, better informing WWP leadership
- Craft narratives that articulate problem spaces, identify core issues to solve, and provide reasonable recommendations and next steps
- Create communication materials such as models, presentations, and other forms of written documentation, tailored to the right audience level (e.g. management seniority, area of expertise)
- Encourage cross-team discussions to guide organization-wide understanding and collaboration
Required Qualifications:
- 1.5+ years experience in management consulting strategy role (pre-MBA) or 3+ years equivalent in similar capacity (e.g. corp strategy at top company like Disney, Netflix, Google)
- Experience managing analysis of complex or ambiguous problem spaces spanning multiple organizations
- Experience facilitating across multiple organizations or working teams
- Experience working in the following topics relevant to WWP:
- Go-to-market strategy and supporting functions
- Organizational structure or operating model design
- International market strategy and operations
- Gaming or Entertainment Strategy
