A Business Intelligence Analyst analyzes complex business data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. They focus on interpreting and identifying trends and patterns in datasets. They construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on data and reporting, and communicate that to necessary internal or external stakeholders. They create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. They may provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address specific business issues.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst within the Infrastructure organization, you will own cost allocation reporting under governance for Infrastructure. You will be expected to own, execute, and report starting with public cloud usage to our top level business units across Riot. By wielding your analytical toolkit and knowledge, you will design and implement scalable solutions to bring visibility into our usage, and the economics associated with infrastructure services. This will involve interacting with software, network, and systems technologies within your immediate circle, as well as collaborating with teams across Riot to understand their needs and standards for reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Allocations for public cloud, CDN, and infrastructure services for the direct consumers
  • Work with service providers to standardize the data ingestion for consistency across all clouds in use
  • Create reporting and analytics to produce recurring metrics packages
  • You will be directly responsible for making the official recommendations for commitments against on-demand non-committed services
  • You will a key participate in Riot’s Infrastructure Governance program
  • You will work with Riot’s central finance team on allocations, charge and show backs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable field, or equivalent
  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication experience working with c-levels, their advisors, and financial teams
  • Experience with cloud governance programs at scale
  • Deep understanding of usage and cost programs used to effectively manage cloud spend

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS, Google, Azure and Tencet billing systems
  • Cloud certifications focused on allocations, tagging, and best practices
  • Experience with cloud security and matured use of technology offerings
  • Experience with governing SaaS, PaaS, and on-demand service offerings within large complex organizations
