As an Analyst, you’ll join the Insights team – the group of researchers, analysts, data scientists, and strategists responsible for solving problems and accomplishing analyses that allow Rioters to make difficult decisions. You will be a part of an interdisciplinary team and work with Rioters from other disciplines (designers, artists, and producers) to conduct studies and analyses that inform the features, systems, and experiences of our products.

As an Analyst in the Creative and IP Development ("IP/C") team, you will report to their Strategic Advisory Manager. You will dive into ambiguous problem spaces (like fandom), applying a variety of methods across the research spaces in creative ways, and working with product partners to provide meaningful IP expressions. You will help evaluate what it means to be a top-tier IP, how Riot can progress towards its goal of developing a top-tier IP, and how to measure the value of IP products.

Responsibilities

  • Create best practices for department-level Goal tracking and reporting as the IP product space audience expands
  • Build visualizations of complex survey data sets that can be used by team members and product leadership to guide product decisions
  • Partner with teams across Riot to evaluate cross-product campaign performance and build recommendations for future collaborations
  • Invest in building traditional user research techniques (survey design, player labs) to support a small Insights team

Required Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Experience using SQL in a professional environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience analyzing large datasets, visualizing information, and informing company strategy
  • Experience in writing, fielding and analyzing surveys

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or meaningful work experience in consulting, consumer insights or product strategy
  • Advanced professional experience using Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, and Tableau
  • Experience with consumer products (e.g., books, comics, and board games)

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!

Our Perks

We offer medical, dental, and vision plans that cover you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children. Life insurance, parental leave, plus short-term and long-term disability coverage are also available. Riot will support your retirement benefits with a company match, and double down on your donations of time and money to non-profit charitable organizations. Balance between work and personal life is encouraged with open paid time off, and a play fund so you can broaden and deepen your personal relationship with games.
