Role overview

As esports Manager you will oversee client relationships on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that every aspect of their partnership runs smoothly. Regular contact with clients is a key part of the job, offering new and forward-thinking ideas is essential. A confident and assured attitude is a necessity, as the role will include pitching strategy and ideas to the client on a regular basis. A background in live event production for esports is critical, as you will need to bring the ideas to life.

Objectives

  • Manage the development and execution of the strategy as agreed with the client
  • Use knowledge and skills to push the account team and Right Formula to deliver outstanding client servicing
  • Build a ‘trusted adviser’ status directly with the client
  • Ensure retention and growth of the client account

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of client’s partnership objectives and liaison with clients at relevant levels to ensure best practice use of all contractual assets
  • Support the team on the delivery of innovative and effective sponsorship activation strategies and campaigns
  • Generate accurate reports and status notifications, including feedback and financial reporting to the client, Right Formula Head of Partnerships and the Director of esports
  • Support on the planning and event execution at esport tournaments, including player communications and T&E to tournaments
  • Work with the client to develop digital content with storyboard concepts, overseeing content production and distribution
  • Develop talent and player briefings for on-site appearances
  • Attendance at tournaments when required
  • Support on social media content and distribution plans
  • Guide the graphics team on content creation and event collateral
  • Develop content guidelines and marketing tool kits

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 3 years’ experience working on community or large global esport tournaments
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience across high-quality client relationship management
  • Experience working as part of a live broadcast team in a producer role or equivalent
  • A solid understanding of esports league operations and tournament structuring
  • Deliver innovative and effective sponsorship activation strategies and campaigns
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the role sponsorship plays within the esports industry
  • A persuasive and confident approach to developing and delivering sponsorship activation
  • A solid background in esports marketing and event management
  • Proven track record of building and managing budgets
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Enthusiasm, energy and an innovative approach to gaming and esports
  • The willingness to note relevant trends, learn new skills and develop creative ideas
  • Ability to work independently while delivering high quality work on deadline
  • Creative & passionate about sponsorship, brand experience and technology showcasing
  • Willingness to work flexible work hours, including weekends
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
