We are looking for a junior video editor to support our in house production team in a growing content department at a fast growing digital start up.

We are an Esports publisher and events company so the production need can vary from in game edits, social media and promos, branded content and pure editorial. We are looking for a junior editor to support our senior editor but also to help manage the department and take responsibility for the in-game editing process.

We are a small team who support each other in content development, production and post production.

Responsibilities Of The Video Editor

• Record footage using image capture devices, setting up shots in game (using the game engine SOURCE and ensuring all aspects are technically accurate)
• Editing the footage in Premiere Pro, keeping to the briefs provided
• Selection of audio to maintain a set tone to pieces
• Create motion graphics in After Effects for start and end sequences in keeping with brand continuity
• Render videos in different formats for different platforms requirements
• Set up cameras and have basic knowledge of lighting set-ups for interview style recording
• Set up audio equipment to record voice overs

What We Look For In The Video Editor

• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut)
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity
• Familiarity with 3D and compositing
• An understanding of the editing of ingame footage using the SOURCE engine.
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Degree in a film-based discipline
• Being a keen gamer or having worked in the games industry is beneficial
