Relic Entertainment is a wholly owned studio of SEGA. We are an award-winning developer of genre-defining games like Homeworld, Dawn of War, Company of Heroes, and Age of Empires. This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, requiring English language proficiency.

Salary: Approx. $90,000 - $130,000 CAD. Salary to be negotiated based on experience.

Rendering Programmer

We're looking for a Rendering Programmer to work on the development and improvement of our rendering technology and tools on our proprietary game engine. As part of a small team, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Artists, content creators and end users. You’ll get to work on a variety of challenging problems specific to real-time strategy games.

As a Rendering Programmer, you will...

  • Collaborate with Artists and Designers to ensure content fulfills their vision
  • Research, implement and debug physically-based rendering techniques, algorithms and systems
  • Implement content creator facing tools and systems such as FX systems, animation, camera and materials
  • Work closely with the Systems team on GPU and CPU performance optimization, profiling and debugging
  • Contribute to the design and development of the roadmap for an industry leading AAA proprietary game engine and development tools

We’re looking for someone who has…

  • 3+ years' experience working as a Rendering or Graphics Programmer
  • Work experience with AAA titles on PC or console as a Rendering Programmer.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent/relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with multi-threaded programming experience using modern C++
  • Knowledge of 3D math, linear algebra, and real time rendering techniques
  • Experience with DirectX11/12/Vulkan/LibGNM and HLSL or similar technologies
  • A desire to learn and grow with us
