SUMMARY

Reporting to the Lead Gameplay Programmer, the successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidiscipline environment, implementing UI features that meet the requirements of the project’s design and technical bibles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and understand the project’s UI related intentions, in order to assess their technical feasibility, define and then implement the game UI and required features;
  • Suggest improvements to the existing pipeline that match the project’s needs;
  • Discuss technical constraints and collaborate with other programmers, game designers and artists to propose solutions;
  • Contribute to the development of game mechanics and systems;
  • Optimize and debug existing UI features;
  • Ensure coding standards are followed;
  • Ensure the creation of technical documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent training or experience;
  • 4 to 8 years, or more, of work experience in game industry;
  • Good C/C++ and/or C# programming skills, with good knowledge of object oriented development;
  • Experience in gameplay, UI, and design (menus, HUD);
  • Autonomous and flexible with work organization;
  • Good at defining data-driven designs;
  • Passionate about playing and making games;
  • Experience with commonly used development tools such as Visual Studio and Perforce;
  • Console development and Unreal experience are a plus;
  • Strong communication skills in French and English, both oral and written.
