Red Games Co. is looking for a motivated data expert with a passion for mobile games who wants to grow their analytics toolset and focus on delivering value to our players. We are looking for someone who can draw conclusions from player behavioral data that directly influence user acquisition, game design, player retention, and monetization.

Responsibilities

  • Assess data needs and design studioโ€™s analytics strategy
  • Collect, analyze and report complex data to effectively and deeply understand and monitor player behavior and product performance
  • Generate digestible reports and dashboards that can help inform game design and product roadmaps
  • Translate statistical findings into actionable recommendations for creative and marketing teams to influence our user acquisition and retention practices
  • Understand product goals and identify KPIs that will help track success and identify risks
  • Manage analytics tools and monitor for any problems
  • Continually improve our data science practice by identifying novel techniques and approaches
  • Assess the impact of feature or network related adjustments to determine if expected improvements have been achieved and if player engagement has increased
  • Build and run data mining models.
  • Support game development and product quality strategies through data-informed insights and analysis.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in an analytics or similar role in the video game, marketing, or technology fields
  • Extensive knowledge of data analysis techniques, languages, software and systems (R, Python, Tableau) required.
  • Extensive knowledge in SQL (or a SQL-like language) required.
  • Strong experience working in the mobile app or game environment is a plus (e.g. MMP data models, limitations and mitigation strategies, etc.)
  • Autonomous, proactive and able to take initiative; brings a growth mindset to the studio
  • Passion for games
  • Ability to reconcile technical and business perspectives
