In gaming, our editorial ambition is to challenge the UK to play better. We do this by offering mental and technical tips from pros and experts, and tailored, in-depth analysis for the communities around our priority games.

The Brief

Red Bull UK is looking for a freelance gaming journalist to lead redbull.com/gaming and oversee its related social channels.

Reporting to the Editor-In-Chief, you will be tasked with creating content that inspires, challenges and enables our key communities to get better at the games they love.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build our SEO status for priority games
  • Commission, edit and write stories for redbull.com
  • Schedule and monitor performance of social posts in collaboration with our social team
  • Support the Red Bull Gaming Sphere to help maximise reach and impact of its events
  • Stay aligned with Red Bull’s global gaming content team
  • Contribute ideas for the wider network; Twitch, YouTube, Instagram
  • Liaise with Esports Correspondent where our priorities overlap

About you:

  • 3–5 years’ experience of commissioning web content
  • A fan of mainstream console gaming, especially FIFA
  • Disciplined – able to work autonomously and follow a set strategic brief

This role is four days per week, based at Red Bull’s central London office when possible. Rate is dependent on experience.
