The Zombie Army franchise is a spine-chilling zombie shooter, and the soon-to-be released Evil Genius 2 is a satirical spy-fi lair builder where YOU are the criminal mastermind!

We are on the lookout for a Junior Programmer to join the Rebellion North team and work with us on both Rebellion IPs, and with trusted industry partners on genre-defining IPs!

At Rebellion, we work closely with graduates and will support and mentor you in all areas of game development, exposing the successful candidate to a variety of exciting opportunities.

You will maintain and debug your own and existing code to bring the next generation of games to life while writing and maintaining technical documentation to support this.

This role would suit someone with a keen interest in the video game development process and with strong maths skills.

The Rebellion North team delivers code for multiple high-end projects with a focus on optimising code and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new code across projects
  • Maintain and debug code
  • Write and maintain technical documentation
  • Working with the development team to produce high-quality products in a timely manner
  • Accurately estimate schedules with some oversight and deliver high-quality work products to that schedule
  • Develop an understanding of best practices, production pipelines, and workflows

Requirements

  • An appropriate University degree
  • Knowledge and understanding of C++
  • Knowledge and understanding of system design and 3D maths
  • A logical and technical mind with the ability to break down problems and create effective solutions
  • An ability to produce and maintain clean, efficient, stable and well commented code
  • A good understanding of game logic systems
