Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the key responsibilities of the Director of Investments include:
- Building a strategic corporate deals pipeline for the Group
- Leading all aspects of strategic investment and merger/acquisition analysis, working closely with the Business Units and advisors in a full deal cycle exposure from initiating contact, evaluating investment decisions, M&As and strategic alliances and assisting in negotiations and execution of deals to expand Razer’s hardware, software and services ecosystem globally
- Leading out internal discussions of deal evaluation and deal execution with key stakeholder departments, including but not limited to Legal, Corporate Secretary, Finance and Tax.
- Responsible for working with Business Units to drive their corporate strategies to achieve their growth targets, assessing investment decisions and driving activities to support the organization's operations and expansion plans.
- Will also lead out early stage investments via Razer’s corporate venture arm, zVentures
- Preparation of investment committee memos, board approval papers as well as regular investment office update to the senior executive team
Pre-Requisites
- At least 5-7 years of relevant corporate finance exposure, investments or M&A experience
- Strong project management and financial modeling skills
- Excellent business acumen, communication and influencing skills to confidently liaise with the stakeholders
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate deals from early stage startup investments to M&As of strategic assets
- Experience in working in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment as well as flexibility to travel is a must
- Knowledge of, and interest in, the gaming related (hardware, software, services), payments, financial technology industries
