Job Responsibilities

A rare opportunity has arised as we look for the right candidate to join our dynamic and growing Fintech unit as Head of Regulatory Compliance. Reporting to the Head of Business Unit and in tandem to the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Razer Inc. you will head up the Regulatory Compliance function supporting our global Fintech business and lead a small team to manage the regulatory and operational aspects of compliance, money laundering and risk in the payments industry. As a senior leader, you will work closely with global Business and Compliance leaders to identify, track and coordinate the impact of regulatory developments, understanding regulators’ priorities and shaping and coordinating our response to these through effective engagement with stakeholders across the markets in which we operate.

  • Develop, oversee and lead the implementation of our compliance framework and enterprise risk management framework and control procedures on a global basis
  • Partner with stakeholders to establish and maintain business conduct, drive the roll-out and use of our risk and compliance controls and processes
  • Provides risk advisory and mitigation strategies in new products or new business ventures
  • Ensure compliance controls and procedures in place including controls and procedures on the prevention, monitoring and investigation of money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption, sanctions breaches and fraud, designed to ensure that the businesses are fully compliant with all financial crime compliance obligations
  • Identify, measure, control, monitor and report on company risks, in line with established procedures
  • Manage and develop regulatory relationships with regulators and governmental bodies and represent Fintech as a member of the management team.
  • Lead applications for and maintenance of various required licenses.
  • Coordinate business and regulatory specific compliance reviews, routine checks and approvals
  • Monitor and analyse industry trends in identifying, mitigating and monitoring risks
  • Build and deliver training and education programs for employees to promote risk management and compliance knowledge

Pre-Requisites

  • Degree qualified, post-graduate qualifications preferred
  • 10 years or more of relevant, regional, regulatory compliance experience -
  • Experience with South East Asian and other emerging market financial services, regulatory bodies and payments – experience at a senior level in financial services critical
  • Strong knowledge in payment systems and services, legal and regulatory requirements, consumer banking and card operations experience.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, maintain flexibility in fast-paced environment, and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for reporting purposes, performing liaison duties, and relating to business leaders/individuals
  • Independent, self-motivated and self-starter
  • Experience leading and building a lean team
