Job Description:

Raven Software, developer of numerous award-winning games, including Modern Warfare, Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: WWII, Infinite Warfare, Black Ops 3, Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Modern Warfare 3, Singularity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Wolfenstein is seeking a Lead Gameplay Engineer with a UI emphasis. This is a great opportunity to lead a passionate team that defines and shapes our player’s gameplay experience.

Your Mission:

  • Leading a team of gameplay engineers
  • Mentorship, scheduling and performance reviews of reports
  • Contribute to the design of our gameplay experience
  • Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++
  • Deploy, optimize and test gameplay software on PC and console platforms
  • Collaborate with other internal departments (art, design, audio, QA, etc.)
  • Co-develop and collaborate with other Activision studios
  • Document software and features for internal and external teams
  • Participate in the code review process
  • Interviewing and hiring

Player Profile:

  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Engineering, or Math related field
  • Shipped at least two game titles
  • 8+ years of experience working in the game industry or related field
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and support other team members
  • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Creative, motivated, focused, passionate, results-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, readable, and reliable code
  • Passion for games

Bonus Experience:

  • Aptitude for gameplay design and innovation
  • Understanding of animation systems and techniques
  • Familiarity with physics simulation
  • Experience with console development
