We're looking for a Senior Backend and Networking Engineer to join our small and mighty engineering team.
Who we are?
We're Rara - a well funded startup with a mission to make game creation accessible to everyone. Game creation is hard. We don't think it should be. We are building a category defining product that is currently in stealth.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain core game architectures and systems in a scalable, secure way
- Implement multiplayer and networking functionalities
- Wear many hats as a skilled technical generalist who will contribute across areas
- Run, troubleshoot and maintain our cloud services
- Write clean, performant, well-documented code
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in similar position
- Cloud experience with Firebase or other cloud solutions
- Strong experience in data structures, system design and algorithms
- Experience working with NoSQL databases
- Deep knowledge of Unity and C#
- Built and shipped large multiplayer games in the past
- Comfortable with git and version control
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Driven, passionate, self-starting, creative problem solver
Bonus points!
- DevOps experience - setting up CI/CD environments, orchestrating deployments, creating monitoring dashboards
- Experience with analysis and statistics
- Experience in multi-region and multi-cloud deployments
- Ready to join asap
