Job description
For our next ambitious AAA game project, QUANTIC DREAM MONTREAL is looking for a Senior Level Designer.
MAIN RESPONIBILITIES
Attached to the Game Design department and under the supervision of the Gameplay Director, we are looking for a Senior Level Designer in charge of the missions design and/or maps of the game.
In close collaboration with the rest of the Game Design team, your missions will be as follows:
- Be in charge of the paper design of Level Design maps in an open environment (Templates, simulation of level design bricks, walkthrough).
- Prototype the environment, establish the layouts and propose a use of Gameplay elements defined by Game Designers as well as non-interactive means in order to create the desired emotion for the player.
- Communicate the result of the prototypes to other trades/teams in order to validate the intentions and have the technical feasibility and the quality of the maps assessed.
- As the project progresses, integrate all the elements produced in the map (new gameplay, AI, sound, etc.) while ensuring the level building in the editor.
- Validate the playability of the environment with testers, Level Artists and Gameplay Programmers throughout the production stages.

Required skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 5-6 years of experience in Level Design, including an open environment game.
- Creative profile, you are attracted to innovation in experiences that favor storytelling and emotion.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, you are able to clearly formalize your ideas and communicate your enthusiasm.
- Having a central role in advancing the levels assigned to you, you will need to show initiative and autonomy.
- Mastery of integration and scripting tools.
- Bilingual is an asset.
