We are building an automated CS:GO coach powered by AI, machine learning, and statistics to tell players what they are doing wrong and how to fix it. Our platform breaks down a player's skill into various aspects of the game: shooting, crosshair placement, movement, grenade usage, economy, and more. Through this personal assessment, we generate a tailored player improvement plan. Our web app’s interactive 2D match viewer integrates our feedback to highlight areas of improvement. We are a brand new, bootstrapped, North Carolina startup. We are in a fierce competition with other companies doing similar things.

We are looking for someone to take over building the front-end development of our app. We have the back-end handled which includes database design, replay parsing, data processing, and data science. We hired a company for the current version of the front-end but we are parting ways with them. They had poor QA and made sub-optimal coding decisions (just letting you know what you are inheriting). We are looking for someone to get familiar with their code, fix inefficiencies, enhance security, and make needed improvements. We will also be making changes and updates as more of the analysis is completed. We will work closely with you to come up with requirements and clear goals for any changes to the app to be done on an hourly, as-needed basis.

React and best practices for building a modern data-driven SPA
Reworking existing code for best practices/cleanliness/security
GraphQL (or the will and ability to learn it)
Expertise building a performant engaging UX and polished UI.
Client-side user data security considerations
OAuth integration (specifically for Cognito).
i18n and localization support
JavaScript and functional programming patterns.

We are handling:

All API functionality required to support the front end requirements.
Management of all data processing and persistence.
The 2D demo viewer.
Core branding: logo, color scheme, fonts

No direct work on the backend is required by the front end developer: only coordination and alignment of requirements. The frontend SPA deployment via CircleCI to AWS is already setup.

This is a remote, contract-based, paid hourly position. We need someone to take over for our current app developers (we are completely parting ways with them). The hours and work needed will increase some weeks and decrease others. Because of this we can be flexible in terms of commitment per week. This isn’t going to be a full-time position most weeks but could be at the beginning if that works for you.
