Node Developer (Remote)
RPGG Media is looking for a great NodeJS Developer to join our product team, working remotely, creating and maintaining software for our esports betting service Puntt. You will be working directly with the CTO as part of a small cross-skilled group. This position is remote and available to people based in the UK.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining services for the Puntt platform
- Proposing, devising, and testing new features and/or system components
- Understanding and improving on existing code bases
- Taking part in peer review processes to support your colleagues
You will have a strong understanding of NodeJS and HTTP, with experience with NoSQL database systems, preferably Couchbase or CouchDB. Experience using Git for version control and of Agile software development is essential. Experience within the esports and/or betting industry is desirable but not required.
Puntt from RPGG Media is focused on creating safe, fair, and exciting gambling products for esports fans. We successfully launched in March 2020 after two years of development and have established Puntt as the only esports service in the world where you can bet on player performance. We are in the midst of our second funding round after which we plan to significantly expand the entire team, including technical, marketing, operations, and compliance – so this is your chance to get in on the ground floor. We are a small company with big ideas and a strong ethos of social responsibility. Most importantly, we love games and gaming: from Space Invaders to Cyberpunk 2077.
You will be curious, enthusiastic, a tinkerer, and a problem solver who cares about the small details. You will be a dedicated gamer, self-motivated, with a mature attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure. Puntt is a company that believes in social responsibility and contributing to the communities of which we are part. We expect our employees to share and embrace these values.
Salary will be £30k-£45k, dependent upon experience. You will have truly flexible working hours, be enrolled in the company pension and healthcare plans, receive 25 days paid leave per year (plus bank holidays) and a company laptop (Mac).
