[BATTLEGROUNDS] Sr. Physics Engineer (5+ years of experience)
PUBG Corp. is the developer and publisher of the blockbuster battle royale video game, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG). Since its release, PUBG has received worldwide acclaim, selling tens of millions of copies and winning multiple game awards worldwide. Headquartered in Korea, PUBG Corp. has operational offices globally across North America, Europe, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
We are seeking a Senior Physics Engineer who will be full-time in our Seoul, South Korea office. The Senior Physics Engineer will be a part of the Engine Tech Team to improve the engines that PUBG Studio uses for its projects and will be responsible for building and managing pipelines. This person will also conduct research to ensure that PUBG (and an unannounced online shooter project) can provide the best experience in Unreal Engine 4/5.
Responsibilities
- Improve physics engines (PhysX and Chaos)
- Resolve complex physics issues and problems that arise on PC and Console
- Analyze and optimize the memory use and performance of the physics system
- Research and develop new physics functionalities
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in physics engine use or development
- Skillful in C++ programming language
- Computer Science or Physics major (minor)
- Verbal and written communication skills to work with various international teams of different disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with physics engines such as PhysX, Chaos, and BulletPhysics
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 or other commercial engines
- Console development experience
