Responsibilities:

Responsible for listening to, understanding, and interpreting two-way spoken communication between Korean and English in confidential business settings
Perform simultaneous and consecutive interpretation of Korean and English for video conferences, phone conversations, and in-person meetings
Written translation of a variety of documents including emails, proposals, social media content, media monitoring reports, analytics reports, development plans, and marketing/PR materials
Consult with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately
Assimilate speakers’ words quickly, including technical jargon and acronyms
Follow up with colleagues to ensure satisfaction and understanding
Contribute to building strategies to facilitate effective multilingual communication between the Santa Monica office and other PUBG offices across the globe

Qualifications:

Native level proficiency in both Korean and English
Be versatile and able to switch interpreting directions based on spoken content
Excellent memory and attention to detail
Be culturally sensitive and able to use the appropriate level of deference/politeness based on the situation and audience
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Ability to prioritize tasks

Nice to Have:

Master’s degree in translation & interpretation
Experience working as an in-house translator/interpreter
Experience in video game and entertainment industry
Plays PUBG
