Role: Director of Corporate Affairs

Location: Oregon, USA

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

As a member of the PTW global senior leadership team, this is a pivotal role, leading in promoting and protecting the brand’s reputation across the globe and leading the development of external and internal communications programmes that enhance the quality and depth of stakeholder relationships. Providing strategic counsel and making clear recommendations to senior colleagues across the business, you’ll work with peers globally to ensure aligned, consistent messaging, identifying and mitigating potential reputational risks and managing response in crisis situations.

Experience gained in corporate affairs, with expertise in PR is essential, and you’ll demonstrate keen judgement and strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills. This is a proactive, influential and multi-faceted role which requires energy, drive and exceptional leadership coupled with an ability to assimilate complex issues and manage competing priorities. Experience gained in an outsourcing consumer-facing or global logo brand within a gaming business would be advantageous although other sectors could be considered.

You will manage the delivery of the day-to-day objectives of the function by ensuring the business is fully engaged behind the strategic goals of PTW and be clear on the contribution and responsibility including adherence to compliance with quality systems and procedures across our studio estate and various brands worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Partners to develop and execute programming, campaigns, develop core positions, key messages, educational resources and engagement plans.
  • Identifies and develops client-centred thought leadership opportunities that advance the company’s positions and policy objectives.
  • Develops and refines standards and principles of engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advises key partners in preparation for internal and external engagement opportunities, as aligned with enterprise standards and thought leadership platforms.
  • Maintains core narratives, messages, positions, tools, resources and reference materials in support of global policy communications.
  • Monitors and considers global business environment and stakeholder movements and needs.
  • Provides leadership, advisory support and counsel to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promotes a high-performance culture aligned with business goals, accountability for results and enhanced development opportunities for greater learning.
  • Manages agency partners and corresponding budgets to support international communications efforts.
  • Shape corporate communications planning and strategy.
  • Offer counsel to senior clients and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications or related field.
  • Extensive experience in corporate and/or policy communications, public affairs, public policy, or a related field.
  • Experience in gaming, outsourcing/BPO or similar industry preferred, or a combination of education and professional experience that would provide an equivalent career foundation.
  • Working knowledge of government, local and regional policies that can impact PTW and a keen understanding of what kinds of input can help shape C-level decisions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with colleagues and counterparts at all levels of the company, across the globe.
  • Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Superior written, verbal, editing and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Working familiarity with outreach campaign measurement and analytics tools.
  • Ability to learn the business quickly and excel in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Self-directed with proven ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple initiatives with competing priorities
  • Proficiency with digital communications and effective use of social media platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Strong media relations and press office skills.
  • High-standard writing skills; research, press releases, reports, briefs etc
  • Efficiency in project management, across multiple workstreams.
  • Great team management, mentoring junior team members and managing campaign elements with specialist support when needed.
  • Presentation skills – both verbal and written.
  • First class account administration and eye for detail.
