We are looking for a Social Media Manager to join our team! In this role, you will focus on daily oversight and management of social media platforms along with optimization of current platforms. You will be responsible for identifying and advising on the ever growing social media landscape and emerging platforms while providing social media strategies that integrate into marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

  • Owning, establishing, and driving content initiatives related to Rocket League across all social media platforms
  • Optimizing existing Rocket League social media channels and establishing best practices, as well as identifying emerging platforms and trends within the social media space.
  • Coordinating with the Communications and Marketing teams to execute on the Rocket League social media programs in support of broad marketing plans for in-game events, game content updates, and co-promotions
  • Assisting and collaborating with creative services to develop innovative and authentic social media content, ensuring buy-in from internal stakeholders with timely execution
  • Managing relationships with social media platforms, as well as negotiations with external influencer partners and agencies
  • Participating in the development of social budgets for Rocket League, while managing compliance with finance and legal
  • Evaluating and developing post-mortems for social media initiatives, coordinating feedback from marketing, business intelligence, development teams, and external agencies
  • NOTE: Travel will be needed as required

Ideal Candidate Must Have

  • 3-5 years of experience in video game marketing, social media management, influencer marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Proficiency with business-related software, including Microsoft Office, Confluence/ Jira, Google App suite, and production tools
  • Excellent understanding of social media marketing and proven ability to execute campaigns across marketing initiatives, including experience with multiple social media platforms
  • Healthy business analytics, strategic development, project management, consumer research, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
  • A strong background in business/ game analytics, and social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • A keen understanding and awareness of industry trends and emerging platforms
  • Ability to translate campaign results into actionable insights and optimization, including developing key KPI and ROI metrics/ dashboards
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
  • Creative and critical thinking skills
  • Strong self-motivation and work ethic
  • A team-focused outlook with a high degree of tact and diplomacy
