Psyonix is a video game developer located in downtown San Diego. We are looking for a qualified, self-motivated Build & Release Engineer to develop, maintain and manage the branch/build/release process for multiple products, across multiple platforms. Ideal candidates should have significant professional experience overseeing multiple release targets in a dynamic development environment with frequent daily updates and deliverables.

As a member of the Infrastructure team at Psyonix, you may contribute in the following ways:

  • Building, maintaining and managing CI/CD tools and pipelines
  • Managing and documenting deployment processes and build automation
  • Generating regular product builds across multiple platforms
  • Troubleshooting build problems, and communicating issues to teams

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 4+ years of configuration, release or build engineering
  • Experience designing, implementing and improving continuous integration and release workflows, with a solid understanding of CI best practices
  • Experience defining and maintaining branch / merge strategies
  • Familiarity with Perforce, Git and other version control systems
  • Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins, or equivalent
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell, Perl, Python, bash, Ruby, or similar
  • Aptitude at handling software release and deployment, and diagnosing build failures
  • Proficiency in supporting multi-platform game development shops
  • Must be a self-driven and responsible team player with a solid work ethic

Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of, and experience working with, Unreal Engine 4 build pipelines
  • Programming experience with one of the following languages: C++ and C#
  • Experience working on at least 1 shipped title for PS4/XB1/mobile as a programmer/engineer
  • Experience working on live game releases with ambitious update schedules
  • Development or QA experience in the games industry
