Tournament Manager

Reports To: CEO

Seniority level: Entry level management role

Salary range: £24k to £29k depending on experience

Job Description

The Tournament Manager is responsible for operating and executing tournament administration duties during activations. In addition to this, they will aid with tournament creation and format ideation during the pitching phase, working closely with the wider delivery team to ensure the client’s tournament needs are met. The Tournament Manager will at times be required to contract, train and manage a team of freelancers.

Responsibilities

  • Ideate and create exciting & relevant tournament formats
  • Operate and execute various activations alongside the wider delivery team
  • Create tournament schedules and rulebooks
  • Assist with the creation of pitch decks
  • Management of prize money payments
  • Create and manage activation Discord servers
  • Liaise with players
  • Liaise with internal & external relevant points of contact
  • Provide esports consultancy services

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a similar role within the gaming/esports industry
  • An in depth knowledge of a variety of games and esports
  • Independent self-starter with a flexible attitude to work
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel for offline events (when it becomes safe)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficient with Google suite

Desired

  • Experience in project management
  • Fluent in a second language
  • Degree educated or relevant & proven track record (3+ years experience)
