Creative Producer (Broadcast)

3 days per week - Leicester, UK. Due to Covid-19 you will for the time being be required to work remotely. You must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom and when safe to do so, be able to travel to Leicester for 3 days a week.

The Role

Promod Esports has recently won a contract to produce an FPS-focused esports broadcast for two seasons. As a result, Promod Esports are putting together a production team whose sole dedication will be to ensure the project is executed to a high standard. This job description and vacancy is for the Creative Producer role and as such you would lead the production team when on air and take a creative lead in visualising, producing and directing broadcasts weekly, working alongside the project lead and deputy production manager. There would be a Pre-Production Day on Wednesday, Transmission day on Thursday and a post-production day on either the Friday or Monday.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the client in conjunction with the Promod Esports project lead, on feedback, creative ideas and their integration
  • Creative control of the product under the client
  • Design and amend run of shows each week
  • Conduct meetings with on-screen talent, planning out story lines and discussions between talent for weekly broadcasts
  • Collating and implementing video & graphical content for use during on-screen talent discussions
  • Liaise with the appropriate stakeholders on the direction and storytelling of weekly video content
  • Liaising with the clients social media team on content to be used for promotion outside of playdays
  • Oversee amendments to broadcast graphics/data each week as required
  • Work as Technical Director and Producer during the weekly broadcasts and Finals
  • Influence and create storytelling throughout the season
  • Assist in technical build of studio/production areas as required

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • 2 years + broadcast experience, preferably within sports or esports
  • Knowledge of broadcast production workflows (including vMix)
  • In-depth knowledge of popular FPS titles
  • Experience in directing & producing esports broadcasts
  • Ability to act positively on client feedback
  • A motivated and a driven ‘can-do’ attitude
