ProbablyMonsters Family of Studios is developing 3 simultaneous AAA games in multiple genres. Since our launch in 2019, we have built 3 studios so far. Firewalk™ is working on a new multiplayer game to be exclusively published by PlayStation. Cauldron™ is developing a single-player, adventure-driven game and our RPG Team has a next-gen open world experience in progress.

The Product Group is the team responsible for the end-to-end success of our family of studios within our ecosystem, accelerating development and providing vision, support, guidance, tools, and processes to solve common development challenges, allowing teams to focus on making amazing games.

The Role:

ProbablyMonsters is looking for a Principal Producer to join our Product group. In this role, you will drive the development and delivery of projects through incubation before they move to our pre-production teams, ultimately into a live service.

You will have taken many titles from initial concept and have a great track record of building hit games whilst fostering an amazing inclusive and healthy team culture. Who You Are:

  • A production leader with a proven track record of delivering AAA quality games, through all development stages with a core focus on Incubation, leveraging best production practices whilst maintaining a positive culture.
  • You are a self-starter with a passion for product excellence and a connector to bring experts together to help solve business-wide problems.
  • You can take a big picture view and quickly descend into tactical key decision-making to ensure the delivery of incredible experiences.
  • You love working closely with partner teams to build great partnerships, excellent systems, and services to allow us to ship efficiently and worry-free.
  • You are no stranger to production tools such as Jira, Shotgun, and Excel, and know how to choose the right tool and process for the job at hand to optimize delivery.
  • You can translate between all game disciplines and create plans and implement solutions that empower and enable all teams through cross-discipline collaboration and development-driven production.
  • Accomplished in being able to create plans, milestones, and drive release schedules for both boxed and live services games, with the insight of operating a live game at scale.
  • You are equally at home driving production and franchise growth to enable a market-ready product from pitch to publish.

What You Will Do:

  • Work within the Product Group, reporting to the Director of Production to incubate projects from Inception into pre-production within our Development Framework.
  • Partner creatively with our Director of Incubation to rapidly produce and iterate great game concepts delivering first playable for consideration for full production.
  • Work with multiple projects and teams in parallel through the incubation phase, to continually ready projects for review and actively access the best candidates for further development.
  • Be the single thread for both outward and inward-facing activities partnering with MarCom, Platform, Live Operations, QA, Finance, and Portfolio as the product develops.
  • Directly working with incubation teams as production lead, to implement the production process and be accountable for planning, tracking, and delivering game milestones.
  • Work both strategically and tactically to execute on Product Group initiatives, tracking and reporting against roadmaps to our business stakeholders.
  • Communicate team activities, status, issues, and plans to key constituents across the organization including production, engineering, QA, services, marketing, and business development.
  • Plan milestones, provide estimates, manage risks, and assign tasks, ensuring external generated work is completed on time.
  • Manage the flow of communication owning healthy relationships between all stakeholders.
  • Serve as a friendly resource for other producers, assisting them in the resolution of complex problems and growing their skillset.
  • Participate in the creation of franchise plans with a particular focus on preparing for LiveOps release; plus establishing and then growing a community for your game.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Executive / Principal Producer or equivalent experience with a game developer or publisher.
  • 8+ years of professional industry experience, 3+ shipped game titles on console and PC as a Principal, Lead, or Executive producer.
  • In-depth knowledge of production, publishing, and project management methodologies.
  • Previous experience with Live Operations, Community Management, and Marketing/PR teams for GaaS titles.
  • Experience in building and leading teams, with a people-first culture that evangelizes diversity and inclusion.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with a wide variety of people and skillsets both inside and outside of the development studio while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
  • Goal-oriented and driven and able to juggle multiple projects.
